Halloween – Pumpkin Wine ‘Chiller’

Ghoulish Greetings!

Such a shame I’m not able to throw a Halloween party this year, but with the house not quite ready it will just have to wait until next year!  I can still celebrate though, so to get into the spooky spirit I’ve been chilling our wine in this very ‘cool’ (excuse the pun!) pumpkin wine bucket/chiller!

Chillingly cold wine! :-)

So, for anyone throwing a party and looking for something last minute to do with all those pumpkins they’ve been selling off, then look no further than your very own Halloween themed ‘Wine Chiller’… practical of course, but also serves as a fun decoration for your scary celebrations.

I was going to do a tutorial, but without wanting to reinvent the wheel, it’s really quite simple… :-)

  • Slice off the top (you’ll want to fit as many bottles in as you can so go deeper than you would for a normal carved pumpkin… I’d say a medium to large pumpkin will hold 2 wine bottles)
  • Scoop out the inside
  • Fill with ice/wine/beer, et voila!
  • If you’re feeling extra creative, you could add a black bow, spiders, or anything else you’ve got handy.

Arghhhh, creepy spiders!

So there you have it, a fun addition for your Halloween soiree, and super simple too.

I hope you all have a fab time whatever you’re doing, Happy Halloween!

Love, Little Gems xx
